Personality/History Bio;
As a cub, Kimba used to be a very warm and welcoming young member of the Pride. His parents had taught him to be kind, considerate, and open to all types of lions and even new experiences - always pushing him to try new things and better himself. Kimba was full of live and joy and eagerness to please and make others happy. Kimba wanted to fight for his faction and be a great warrior, bringing peace to the land that was in chaos. Unfortunately for him, nothing seemed to turn out the way he wanted and these events shaped his entire adult character. A once spirited young male grew into a reserved and distant male who refused to let go of the past.
Kimba's parents, and his fellow siblings, were unfortunately murdered while on the home planet - not even dying to protect the Pride. They were taken away in cold blood by a lion - which everyone assumed was a Prison Guard Aldurant, though that was never proven. When the "assumed" killer was set free, leaving poor young Kimba homeless and abandoned, he seemed to begin to lose faith in any sort of justice. The only justice he could trust is if he brought it to himself. Kimba became very wary of outsiders and anyone who wanted to get close to him. He tried to be the vibrant cub he once was, but something in him had changed and his happy-go-lucky nature fell away. He was soon taken in by the Head Prison Guard, Arcturus, and his mate, Artemis. While Artemis tried to teach Kimba to see the better in things and always acted as his protector and encourager, Arcturus's negative traits seemed to rub off on him more. He grew very wary in heart and is extremely biased against anyone he deems as not worthy. If you want to get on his good side, you must prove to him wrong. He adapts slowly to new situations and environments and does not warm up quickly. Kimba is fairly set in his ways. After the death of his family, Kimba has valued the lives of his extended family above all else. His adoptive parents meant the world to him and he saw them as more than blood.
When Kimba grew and was granted a Pride mane, he was filled with disappointment in the fact he could no longer become a warrior or any rank of substance that he desired. He fell into a sad state and resorted to the lonely life of a Pride Member, seemingly without purpose. Artemis took this time to teach the young adult that out of the darkness can come the greatest light. Kimba realized he had to accept his fate and grow up, try and move on from the past and accept the life that was given to him. He threw himself into his work and did the best he could to make his parents proud, though it took a lot of work. He soon grew accustomed to his new life and grew into his own. He had friends, a caring family, and a chance to help his home. Kimba did a lot of growing up in his young adult years. He was still fairly temperamental but he let a new kinder side of him show. The kind cub that was in there all along shone out again and he felt more happier than he had in years. Kimba is still as stubborn as can be but returned to the more free spirited male he once was.
When he met his future mate, Mirrah, Kimba had not yet seen a lion more depressed than she. He did not know what compelled him to want to help her, but something in her moved him and reminded him of who he used to be - who he partly still was. Both of them felt it hard to let the past go and move on to the future. Kimba's best side was brought out by her and he lived to see her smile. It was long and tough but they were good for each other. They shared similar views and experiences and both helped one another out of a dark place. When they were together. Kimba was more alive than ever and found purpose again. He became a bit more open and his funny and caring side seemed to come into the light. When they started their family, it only grew. Kimba had hard parenting styles to follow but he did his best to be a good dad. Kimba's children brought him a joy he had never felt before and he finally felt he had a true family. Kimba was his best self when he was a father to his young. When they grew, and the war raged on harder, Kimba found it harder and harder to hold onto his vibrant spark and keep himself in the positive. He did and still does love his children dearly, but very rarely agrees with their choices.
The choices of his children shaped Kimba's current self and relationships with his family. His daughter, Dahlia, happened to fall in love with the one who so long ago was accused of murdering his parents. He could not forgive such a thing and it caused a rift between he and his daughter. Dahlia had enough and moved out of the life of her father until he could come to terms with her choice. His first son Corvus had moved away to the Oasis with a new mate, leaving behind his family and in Kimba's eyes, abandoning them. It took a toll on his mate, Mirrah, and Kimba may find it hard to forgive his son for breaking her heart. His remaining son, Damon - well, Kimba has difficulty accepting that he has found an unconventional love. Kimba feels he has failed all of his children and, despite wanting desperately to make up, cannot seem to find the courage or will. It has made he and Mirrah distant even, and she suffering the loss of her own family, has been a shell of her former self. Kimba cannot even bring the joy to her eyes again without compromising his own feelings. Kimba feels unworthy of his family now and the darkness rises up again inside of him. If he will get past his inner disappointment and anger is yet to be seen. Kimba wants to move on and be a good mate and father once again - but perhaps he doesn't have it in him. It is now he who is in the darkness and needs to be brought back to salvation.

As the war reached its peak and many went out to sacrifice their lives to protect the Pride, Kimba seemed to take a long look at his life - especially after the death of much of his family. He made an effort to make it up to his mate, Mirrah, and would with with her by the lake when she allowed, sharing in her own grief. It took time, but the two made amends and the struggles and loss they faced seemed less daunting when they had each other once again. And, as the war came to and end and the Pride was on the winning side, the two made a decision that this world had been too cruel to the both of them. With the war over and their children all given a chance at peace, the two made a joint decision it was time for them to walk into the Lake of Eternity - ending their lives. Before they passed on into the afterlife, Mirrah and Kimba made a final amends with the remnants of their famliy - Kimba's adotive mother, Artemis. Though sad to see them go before her, she understood their decision and they now await her joining them one day. Their son, Damon, who was always by their side. Kimba felt he done the best he could with Damon but regretted he was not a better father to him - that they were not as close and that Kimba caused tension with Damon and the rest of the family. Kimba is grateful for his son's forgiveness and welcomes his visits anxiously when Damon comes to speak to the spirits in the lake. Corvus - well, Kimba never had a chance to say goodbye to his second son nor realize he had newly born grandchildren. Kimba partially still resented his son for leaving, feeling he was abandoning his mother especially, but came to understand his reasoning and need for his own life. He made sure Damon would relate his feelings to Corvus if he should see him - to tell Corvus he loved him, he was sorry, and to wish his son the best in life. But, his daughter, Dahila, was the hardest to win back over. They had been in a rocky relationship for so long, Kimba was afraid it would not mend. But, when Kimba apologized for his behavior and gave her his blessing to be with Aldurant, she came back to him without hesitation. It was hard to leave her after just getting back on good terms, but Kimba knew she was in good hands. He made Aldurant swear a promise to him that he would never leave her alone in this world - that he would live for her, because living for the one you love is the hardest thing in the world. After all had been said and done and the Pride on it's way to a new chapter, Kimba and Mirrah walked together into the Lake of Eternity. In death, the two seem at peace - something they had not felt in a long time.
