Personality:
Being raised for the first years of his life as a rebel, Bolero has maintained that mentality even into his adult form. If he had to put his personality into words, Bolero would say... empty. The entire facade he portrays in his daily life is a facade - he truly feels nothing. Almost as if he is broken. He simply going on pretending because it is easier to be accepted in the Pride that way. Taught that keeping your distance from others is best, Bolero is a lion who tends to keep to himself in most situations. He does not like working with a team and more often than not will fly solo on most occasions. Some say he does not "play nice" with others - and that is precisely the case. He has an attitude of "do what I want, when I want" and does not seek approval from anyone. He is confident, maybe a bit cocky, and absolutely sure of himself. He does not let things go to chance, for everything he does is with a purpose, whether that purpose is stated or not. If he attacks, it is because he wants to; says something to you, because he wants to; kills, because he wants to. Nothing he does is by accident and is actually executed purposely.
Some like to deem Bolero the term "bad boy". This could stem from his very promiscuous attitude when it comes to females, having a rule of never being with a lion more than once and never for too long. Relationships are not his forte but some lions chase him because of that aspect of his personality. He is something they call dangerous and forbidden, with his cold and distant demeanor, making him quite desirable to certain lions who want to try something physical and daring. When it comes down to it, Bolero is interested in making himself happy first and never neglects his own wants for someone else's.
Though most of his traits are of the negative aspect, Bolero has a few redeeming qualities in his character. He is passionate, both in his daily life and romantically. If there is a cause he deems worthy to follow, he will do so without a moment's hesitation. Though, he has not found that yet with either the pride nor the rebels - even as a spy for the rebellion he questions his future. He goes after what he wants, no matter the danger or what anyone else says. If they say it is too hard to achieve, that makes Bolero fight ten times harder to prove them wrong. He likes coming out on top and if he can one up someone else in the process, that is the icing on the cake. He is good at handling problems that are thrown at him, mostly because he is not impulsive and thinks things through.

History:
Bolero was born and bred to be a rebel. With parents loyal to Arknon and his reign, it was no surprise that the young cub's head was filled with lies, deceits, and dangers of what Pride life truly meant. Even in his early years, Bolero grew a dislike for the pride lions and their way of life, mostly brought on by the strict upbringing and brainwashing of his parents. During his cubhood training with his parents and a small group of other rebels outside of their main lands, the group was ambushed and surprised by pride warriors and trackers suddenly on their tail. His parents, captured in the raid, were put on trial and sentenced to years of imprisonment on Z-99 for their crimes against the Pride. And Bolero, seen as an innocent cub at the time, was taken in by a female pride lion. Though, he was anything but. Bolero refused to form close bonds with those who tried, even adoptive parents, and deep down wanted nothing to do with this life. But, doing what he parents had always taught him, he kept the feelings inside and played the part of a child, one who would do no harm. Today, still having feelings of loyalty to the rebels, Bolero serves as a warrior in the pride ranks. He has mostly stayed around to have some contact with his parents on Z-99, but also has stayed for female companionship. Known to be quite the player, Bolero has gotten used to the easy life, but if given the right circumstances, he would kill the pride lions without a second thought and join his true calling with the rebellion.
