Kingdom of the Ameriel Isles
Kingdom Symbol: Gold and Turquoise Crest with Islands
Kingdom Colors: Gold and Turquoise Current Ruler: King Renier, Lord of the Amerial Isles and Queen Hylia, Lady of the Ameriel Isles and Torvalum Synopsis: The Ameriel Isles are a distant kingdom far to the west that consists of multiple tropical islands - the largest of which contains rich volcanic deposits. The island is rich in unique materials such as plants, metals, and silks. Ameriel is known for being secretive and distant from the other kingdom's in the realm but is known for making alliances through trade and marriage. Materials most often sought after in this kingdom are its massive expanse of gold ore veins, silks, and native plants and livestock. A recent war has given the kingdom control over multiple smaller islands located in the surrounding sea - making them perfect spots for outposts, mining operations, and army bases. Other kingdoms desire to gain control of Ameriel's wealth and material supplies. |
Recent, important events in the kingdom include the death of the former king. He passed in his sleep after a long fought battle with sickness. After his passing, the transfer of power succeeded to his son, Prince Renier. Shortly after Renier took the throne, a letter from his father revealed his last wish was to promise his son to a Princess in a far away land, joining the two through the bonds of marriage. Renier was less than pleased, but the proposal had been discussed between both fathers long before his death and there was no breaking the engagement now. It was when Renier discovered who his betrothed was that he grew in confusion. His father had promised his hand to Princess Hylia of the Kingdom Torvalum - a kingdom shunned by the rest and notorious for its king, Candor, who singlehandedly put an end to the former regime and took over the country for his own evil gain. Renier was unsure why his father would promise him and share their lands resources with a tyrant, however, he could not back out. Curious and cautious, Renier traveled to Torvalum to met his bride for the first time and learn the contents of their marriage contract. This journey only gave him more questions than answers....
King Renier, Lord of the Ameriel IslesAfter the death of his father, Renier inherited the title of King. Young and wild, the people of his country have yet to decide if he will make a fine king like his father. In the hopes providing a strong front for his new reign, Renier's father developed a contract with the distant kingdom of Torvalum to betroth Renier to their princess, Hylia. Why make a deal with a dangerous kingdom, Renier has yet to discover. One theory is to protect their small kingdom from attack for their resources - choosing a mutually beneficial approach for both sides. Another theory is to keep the royal bloodlines pure. Regardless, Renier is forced to grow up fast and the young king is unsure of his kingdom's future.

Kingdom of Aaroni
Kingdom Symbol: A Solar Comet
Kingdom Colors: Gold, Silver and Black Current Rulers: King Solix and Queen Lunaris Synopsis: The Kingdom of Aaroni is only heard of in legend. Much speculation surrounds the existence of the kingdom and its people and many only believe they are a myth from long ago passed down generation to generation. The Aaroni country is no myth, simply well guarded. The kingdom rests on a series of large floating islands high in the atmosphere and with their unique gifts of light have been able to conceal their kingdom from sight to the common eye. The main island, much larger than the rest, is home to a large metropolis and the majority of the kingdom's inhabitants live on this island in the capitol city of Eliore. The remaining, smaller islands are connected to Eliore via abnormally large chains and bridges to prevent separation. Those in the Kingdom of Aaroni have no contact to the outside world and fellow kingdoms in the area. They do, however, keep watch on current events of the world - they simply do not trust the world enough to act or make their presence known. |
The landscape is full of rich, dense foliage and plants. The kingdom is barren of forests, so the plants that are populating the area are kept pristine and full of life in gardens and on the islands hillsides. With no oceans or lakes, the kingdom's water sources consist of waterfalls flowing between islands that later descend into the ocean below. How they are formed is unknown. With no contact between other kingdoms, Aaroni's resources are completely self-sustained. It is a rather prosperous and harmonious society due to the lack of communication with the world below, making it the most utopian society around.
Princess Meissa, Heir to the Aaronian ThroneFirst born to the current King and Queen of Aaroni, Princess Meissa is the first in line to ascend to the throne upon their death and/or increasing age. She is far more intellectual than her brother, Altais, and seeks to control everything around her. She is quite a perfectionist thought with her forward and rash nature it is difficult for her to form strong friendships. She is very much a workaholic and cares not for pleasantries or galavanting around with unimportant tasks. Meissa is empowered with the sun.
Prince Altais, Second in Line to the Aaronian ThroneSecond born to the King and Queen of Aaroni, Prince Altais was unfortunately not the first chosen to ascend to the throne of his people, even being the first born male. He cares not for the title, however is often overshadowed by his sister and lives his life in her shadow. More open, friendly, and compassionate than his sister, it is Altais who often has to clean up after her messes and fix bonds she has weakened with her controlling nature. Altais is empowered with the stars.
Divine Priest AlthalosThe Divine Priest of the Aaronian Kingdom are considered to be the fourth highest ranking position in the kingdom - second only to the king, queen, and prince/princesses. Althalos is new to his position, with the former Priest passing on, and has big shoes to fill. Calm, serene, and even tempered, Althalos makes an excellent candidate for his position and is honored to serve his country in such a way. It is he who is asked to convene with the gods of their country, seeking guidance and council when necessary, and relaying this information to the leaders during meetings and sermons.
Castitas, Aaronian Royal AdvisorThough some consider him to be too young to hold this prestigious position, Castitas was named as Royal Advisor to the twin Princess and Prince of Aaroni and elected to the council in order to bring a young, fresh eye to their discussions. Like those before him in his family, Castitas has devoted himself to the royal throne. Though, his positive opinions on the world below and desire to integrate their kingdom once again with the rest of society seem to rub others the wrong way. Castitas very much believes in tolerance and acceptance and, having been to the world below, knows it is vital to include them in their world once again. He faces much adversity but sticks strong to his morals and his gut. Though, some of the more traditional members seek to eliminate him and prevent any breach of their society.
Avguard, Aaronian Royal GuardBorn and bred to be a soldier in army, Avguard has worked his way through the ranks to become the Aaronian Royal Guard. It is he who is tasked with protecting the royal family, specifically the Princess and Prince. His parents, both royal guards, are tasked with protecting the King and Queen. He is stoic, strict, yet gentle to those he cares for. He will lay down his life to protect his kingdom, their wisdom and power. As all members of the army, Avguard was bestowed the power of light to aid in his duties. |
